questions

How many weeks do i have to give for notice of resignation?

questions

Teachers are required to give 8 weeks notice of which 2 weeks can be in holiday time. Employees, other than teachers, are required to give two weeks notice of resignation.

answers

If you have applied for positions elsewhere and will not know the result of your application before Friday in this case only formal notification to the employer of this situation shall be deemed to constitute notice in accordance with the Award PROVIDED the teacher notifies the employer as soon as they learn of the success or otherwise of their application.
In the meantime, the employer may advertise the potentially vacant position without prejudice to the teacher's current position should the teacher not be successful in their application.
Employees, other than teachers, are required to give two weeks notice of resignation.
