Injured at work? Check your rights
Every year the TCEEA provides advice and support for a significant number of members injured at work. These injuries include physical injuries, as well as stress related conditions of anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, and in some cases heart attack. The law relating to workplace injuries and illnesses can be very complicated, so it is crucial that members get prompt union advice about their rights and entitlements. If you have been injured at work or currently suffer illness due to work-related stress, ring the TCEEA to be advised of your rights and entitlements. Members can also be referred to one of the legal firms that provide advice to TCEEA members: Wallace, Wilkinson and Webster (South) or McLean, McKenzie & Topfer (North). You will need to contact the TCEEA office to arrange this. Remember, your first visit to either of these firms is free!
