One of the most important reasons workers become members of the TCEEA is to ensure that their workplace rights are recognised and protected.

The TCEEA represents the industrial interests of its members through:

  • Negotiation for improved salaries and conditions with the Catholic Education employers;
  • Negotiation and advocacy in the Tasmanian Industrial Commission;
  • Protection of rights through awards and collective agreements;
  • Collective bargaining to improve working conditions and entitlements;
  • Support, advice and representation for individual members.
