Legal Advice
Representation for Workers Compensation MattersAs part of your TCEEA membership, TCEEA officers provide initial advice on workers compensation matters up to and including a first dispute hearing in the Workers Compensation Tribunal. If your claim is accepted then you will receive Workers Compensation Payments. If the matter is not resolved then members have access to the TCEEA lawyers, Wallace Wilkinson & Webster or McLean McKenzie & Topfer. Other legal MattersApart from Workers Compensation, members often need legal advice on a range of personal legal matters. These may include family law matters, commercial, estates, criminal law and purchasing property. As part of the arrangement negotiated with Wallace Wilkinson & Webster or McLean McKenzie & Topfer the first visit with the lawyer is free to TCEEA members. This first free visit is not just the time spent with the lawyers but also any necessary letter or short follow-up required as a result of the visit. Referral to the LawyersMembers need to contact the TCEEA office and ask for a written referral to be faxed to either Wallace Wilkinson 7 Webster or McLean McKenzie & Topfer. The referral is evidence that the person is a member of the TCEEA. The member should then telephone the law firm themselves to arrange an appointment.
